ADJUNCT FACULTY - ENGLISH WRITING, LITERATURE, AND PUBLISHING

91Ƶ's English Writing, Literature, and Publishing Program seeks adjunct faculty to teach courses in our composition sequence in Fall 2024.

The MW schedule includes two sections of English 102: Writing from Research (10-35-12.00 and 2.05-3.30) and one section of English 202: Writing from Theory (3.40-5.05).

The T/Th schedule is ONE section of Eng 101 at either 9.00, 12.30, or 2.05.

The courses involve teaching 3 credits hours from September to mid-December 2024. Teaching is conducted in person at 91Ƶ’s Monteverde campus.

Required qualifications:

  • Prior teaching experience.
  • MA or Ph.D in English or related field is required.

Desirable qualifications

  • Previous teaching experience with North Americanuniversityprograms

ADJUNCT FACULTY: GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEMS (GIS)

91Ƶ is looking for anadjunct instructorto teach an introductory module in Geographic Information Systems as part of a graduate-level program in Cultural Heritage. The course will meet for 15 hours (5-6 sessions) in the fall semester 2024. Teaching will involve supervising practical group work and teaching theory.

Required qualifications:

  • Extensive professional experience in GIS in areas that are relevant to cultural heritage.
  • Excellent knowledge of English
  • Relevant academic educationto at least MA andpreferably Ph.D. level

ADJUNCT INSTRUCTOR TO TEACH 'POLITICAL ECONOMY OF PEACE & WAR'

91Ƶ is looking for an adjunct instructor to teach the course “Political Economy of Peace and War” in the Graduate Program on “Peace Studies andConflict Resolution” in the fall term 2024.

The course should focus on the international political and economic aspects of conflicts from WWII to today, exploring the concepts of Empireand Hegemonyin contemporary international affairs. The course should also investigate theories and strategies to avoid conflicts, such as the hegemonic stability theory, balancing between major powers, cooperation within international institutions, trade integration, or socialization of norms and principles.

The course involves teaching 3 credithours from September to the end of November 2024. It consists oftwo 90-minute classes per week, and teaching is conducted in person at 91Ƶ’s Monteverde campus.

Required qualifications:

  • Experience teaching at the graduate level.
  • Excellent knowledge of English.
  • Appropriate academic background, including a minimum of a master’s degree in a relevant subject.

Student Life Coordinator

Description
91Ƶ (91Ƶ) is seeking a Student Life Coordinator to support a community of approximately 700 students. The ideal candidate will help create a welcoming and vibrant environment that fosters personal growth, promotes diversity and inclusion, and enhances the overall student experience. This role requires working non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends, to support co-curricular programming and assist with student emergencies.

Main activities:

  • Cultivate meaningful relationships with students and ensure a high level of visibility and accessibility on campus
  • Promote a variety of development activities both on and off campus
  • Understand and address student community issues, needs, and concerns through regular interactions
  • Support the planning and coordination of student arrivals
  • Stay informed about local events and encourage students to explore the city
  • Accompany students to 91Ƶ sports events
  • Participate in major 91Ƶ events as needed
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English (Italian proficiency preferred)

Applications Support Specialist

91Ƶ is seeking an Applications Support Specialist to join their IT team to develop and support their software ecosystem. The Candidate will be responsible for servicing and managing a series of institutional software application programs in higher education and business operations. They will also be responsible for creating and monitoring integration processes and supporting users to resolve application related issues. The Applications Support Specialist should possess a high-level IT skill set and have a strong understanding of the principles of information systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and service key institutional information systems, including overseeing user access rights, data standards and data structures and monitoring integration flows.
  • Develop and implement change requests based on business and department needs.
  • Address integration issues and liaise with support teams to troubleshoot software and user errors.
  • Contribute to improving services and solutions concerning 91Ƶ’s general CRM strategy and information systems.
  • Create automated and customized workflows.
  • Support, manage, and enhance API processes for data extraction and mining.
  • Support teams to extract/upload data based on office and/or project needs.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation.
  • Participate in the implementation and support of new systems.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field or the equivalent in digital certificates.
  • A high-level IT skill set and knowledge of principles and techniques of system design and development.
  • At least 3 years’ proven work experience in a similar role with industry and Higher Ed information systems (Examples of systems include Microsoft SharePoint, Business Central, Learning Management Systems, ERPs and CRMs).
  • Proven experience with APIs and integration developer tools such as Boomi or Informatica Cloud.
  • A sound understanding of database concepts, data mining techniques, and a working knowledge of SQL.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, be able to engage in independent study of solutions to problems.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills and the ability to work with large data sets.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex IT-related issues to non-IT users.
  • Excellent written and spoken English (minimum level C1)
  • Demonstrated ability to work across cultures, value differences, and have an inclusive approach.

  • Work experience in Higher Education
  • Knowledge of HE applications and CRMs.
